Hey guys, how are you all doing today? I hope your last week has been decent!

So we started last week with a relatively relaxing Monday, since I didn’t have lessons until the evening. I got up pretty late, then had a look round the shops (and made myself not buy anything!) and had a McDonalds for my lunch before my lessons.

On Tuesday I had another lie in then had my translation class. Having already done the translation task, I felt like Hermione answering all the questions and knowing obscure words. Then I met up with Rebecca for another coffee and chat afternoon. After talking about plants, sulphate-free shampoo and vegetarian food, we took a walk to Monoprix to have a look round. I popped into Carrefour on the way back home for some eggs, and then Auchan for some other stuff.

On Wednesday I popped into Quetzal on my own to get some work done and work out my finances. I also found out I didn’t get the job there, but no hard feelings (well, maybe a few). My German lesson was at 5, and we covered prepositions – the grammar area I always hated in German because of the cases.

Thursday was pretty chill, only spent at home cleaning and tidying up. On Friday I was bored of sitting at home doing nothing, so finally went food shopping to Lidl. Of course, I had a list of essentials and only went for the cheapest option. When doing a weekly shop I tend to only buy missing ingredients for one recipe, because I like to cook enough for a week. This week is spaghetti bolognese (here’s my recipe: Keep your eye out each week for new student recipes, of which we’ll have plenty from vegetarian and vegan to gluten-free. Also on Friday came a few programs on Netflix I’d been looking forward to: Episode 3 of Season 11 of RuPaul’s Drag Race (plus the Untucked episode) and Season 3 of Queer Eye. Plus, a few more things I’d been hoping to watch have turned up, such as I Feel Pretty, Apollo 13, and Paris Is Burning. So, Friday night was spent binge-watching and snack eating.

Saturday was mostly spent in bed; I didn’t get up until mid-afternoon and the time spent at my desk was spent working on the blog. This post was mostly written, and the first recipe in the series had been published that morning.

In other news, I only have 3 1/2 months left in Clermont-Ferrand before I’m done with exams. I still haven’t decided what I’m doing over the summer, but I have a choice. I could either spend it at my parents’ place and go back to the UK later, or stop for a few days, sort out my stuff then spend the summer in York. After all, I already have accommodation sorted out and I could spend it working to have enough in the bank for my last year at uni (since I’ll have less availability at that point).

I also have to work out what I’ll be doing with the blog once I’m finished in Clermont, since I’ll no longer be an Erasmus student. Right now, I’m feeling like keeping it running but having special posts for when I do go abroad. When I’m back in York, I want to do a series like the This Is Clermont-Ferrand series about the town.
